Choosing a place to stay is arguably one of the most important things you have to decide on in planning your trip. I've stayed in some breathtaking places, but I've also experienced the sketchy places that look nothing like as advertised. Personally, I only use recognised and tested travel sites to book my accomodation.
Airbnb is always a great option, especially if you're travelling in a group. There are a plethora of homes available for you to choose from. You'd be surprised how affordable some homes can be when you're splitting the cost with a friend. You can save $42 off of your next booking if you use this link!
BahamaGo has the cheapest options on accommodations. The site serves as a platform for smaller hotels to advertise their properties. I've seen some properties listed for less than $90 a night. If you're traveling on a budget BahamaGo should be your first port of call!
Vrbo has over 300 property listings in The Bahamas, a lot of which aren't actually on Airbnb. I usually compare listings on Airbnb and Vrbo before I book any accommodation.
Booking.com is a great resource to use to discover hotels on your desired area. Personally, I tend to use it as a guide. I find that most of the time, the rates are often cheaper when you book directly with the hotel.
